Russia strikes Kherson twice: one killed and one injured

One person has been killed and another injured in Russian attacks on the city of Kherson overnight and on the morning of 17 July.

Quote from the city military administration: "Russian forces attacked a residential building in central Kherson with a drone at around 00:15. A 59-year-old man was injured in the strike while he was standing on the balcony of his apartment."

Details: The man was diagnosed with blast injuries, a shrapnel wound to his left shoulder, superficial wounds to his right lower leg, soft-tissue bruising to the torso and acoustic blast trauma.

A 70-year-old woman was also taken to hospital in a critical condition after being injured in a Russian attack on Kherson's Korabelnyi district at around 07:00.

She sustained blast injuries, an open traumatic brain injury and shrapnel wounds to the chest.

Doctors are providing medical treatment to both.

Update: Prokudin reported that doctors had been unable to save the woman and she had died.
