Poland-Ukraine conflict: 80% of Poles convinced Russia benefits

An overwhelming majority of Poles polled in a recent survey believe that the conflict between Ukraine and Poland primarily benefits Russia.

Details: According to the poll, Poles are aware of the political circumstances of the Polish-Ukrainian conflict. The overwhelming majority of respondents (73%) agree with the statement that Polish and Ukrainian politicians are fuelling conflicts between the two countries for their own political gain. Meanwhile, 80% believe that Russia benefits from this conflict.

At the same time, 75% of respondents indicated that Poland and Ukraine should above all cooperate in the face of the threat from Russia, rather than focusing on issues that divide them.

Additionally, 52% of respondents believe the two countries have more shared goals and interests than ones that diverge. The opposite view is held by 31%.

However, the question of Ukrainians' right to have their own historical heroes divided Poles.

Another poll showed that the position of Polish President Karol Nawrocki on Ukraine received greater support from Poles than the policy on this issue pursued by Prime Minister Donald Tusk's government.
