Russian drone hits car in Kharkiv, killing driver

A Russian attack drone struck a passenger car in Kharkiv's Kyivskyi district on the afternoon of 24 July, killing the driver.

Details: Syniehubov initially reported that one person had been injured in the strike on Kharkiv's Kyivskyi district. According to Syniehubov, a Russian drone had hit a passenger car, and medics were carrying out resuscitation efforts.

Terekhov later reported that the driver of the car had died.

Quote: "Unfortunately, the driver of the car struck by the enemy UAV has died. Our sincere condolences go to the family and loved ones of the deceased."

Details: Syniehubov later clarified that the man died in the ambulance. He said doctors tried to save him, but his injuries had been critical.

Background: Earlier, Ukraine's State Border Guard Service reported that Russian occupation forces were attempting to expand the area of active combat operations in the north of Kharkiv Oblast.
