Details: The president spoke about the range of future drones in the context of a potential defence agreement in the form of a Drone Deal between Ukraine and the US. He said that military cooperation between the two countries would allow drone technology to develop even faster.

Quote: "Our Drone Deal is a win-win. We will build a great factory in the United States. We want there to be lines of production."

Background:

  • Ukraine and the US have signed a statement of intent creating the groundwork for exporting Ukrainian drones to the US for military testing.
  • Prior to this, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a special mechanism for the controlled export of Ukrainian weapons and defence technologies.
