Drones attack Russia’s Yekaterinburg: fire breaks out at Wildberries warehouse site

A drone attack has targeted Yekaterinburg in Russia, with a fire breaking out on the grounds of a Wildberries warehouse, nearly 2,000 km from the battlefield.

Details: At around 07:00, Pasler reported that a drone threat warning had been issued in the region.

He later added that "falling UAV debris caused a fire covering an area of 300 square metres in the Chkalovsky district of Yekaterinburg".

"Economic and infrastructure facilities have not been damaged. People were evacuated, and there were no casualties. All the appropriate services are working at the scene. The fire has been contained, and there is no threat of it spreading. The aftermath is still being dealt with," Pasler said.

Telegram channels Astra and Exilenova+ published videos showing a fire at the Wildberries warehouse site located at 12/2 Perspektivnaya Street in Yekaterinburg.

The RWB press service confirmed the attack but said that neither the warehouse nor personnel have been affected.

"The logistics complex was not damaged. A pre-planned evacuation was carried out at the company's logistics facility in Yekaterinburg in accordance with safety requirements. The operation of the logistics site has been temporarily suspended," the company said.

Footage indicates that the fire broke out near the warehouse building, likely in the car park, as previously reported by the governor.

Earlier, Commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces Robert "Madyar" Brovdi published a video showing various strikes on Wildberries warehouses, noting that six facilities have already come under attack: in Elektrostal (Moscow Oblast), Krasnodar (Krasnodar Krai), Nevinnomyssk (Stavropol Krai), Shushary and Utkina Zavod (St Petersburg, Leningrad Oblast), and in temporarily occupied Simferopol (Crimea).
