Satellite image reveals damage from Flamingo missile strike on Russian military plant
It has emerged that a Flamingo missile used by Ukraine's defence forces to strike the Russian military-industrial complex company Avitek in the city of Kirov on 24 July pierced the roof of one of the plant's workshops – an impact captured in satellite imagery.

Details: Radio Liberty's Ukrainian Service released a satellite image showing the damage caused by the strike.
For reference: Avitek, a Russian military-industrial complex company based in Kirov, specialises in the production of surface-to-air missiles and ejection seats for Russian Su-57 and Su-34 fighter jets.
The plant is also involved in manufacturing Tor surface-to-air missile systems and Kh-101 air-launched missiles.
Alexander Sokolov, Governor of Russia's Kirov Oblast, claimed that six people had been killed as a result of the strike on the military plant.
Background:
- On 24 July, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the defence forces had struck a company in Kirov, Russia, that supports the Russian military-industrial complex.
