One person has been killed and two injured in a Russian attack on the city of Kyiv on the night of 29-30 July.

Details: Market stalls caught fire at a local market in the Obolonskyi district. One person was injured.

A fire broke out on the grounds of a garage cooperative in the Sviatoshynskyi district. Firefighters discovered a body while extinguishing the blaze. A man was also injured and taken to hospital.

The fires have now been extinguished.

Firefighters are continuing to tackle another fire in a five-storey non-residential building in the same district.

Update: The National Police of Ukraine in Kyiv later said a 31-year-old man had been killed. Two others, aged 30 and 53, were injured.

"Residential buildings, a market, a garage cooperative, warehouse facilities and cars have been damaged across the city. Police investigative teams, bomb disposal experts, rescue workers and other emergency services are working at the affected sites," the police said.

Background: Russian forces launched a missile attack on the city of Kyiv on the night of 29-30 July. The strikes caused falling debris and fires across the Ukrainian capital.
