Russia attacks Ukraine with 255 drones: air defence destroys 195, strikes recorded at 14 locations

Russia attacked Ukraine with 255 drones on the night of 30-31 July. Air defences have destroyed 195 of the UAVs, but strikes have been recorded at 14 locations.

Details: From the evening of 30 July, Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with 255 Shahed (some jet-powered), Gerbera and Italmas attack drones and Parodiya decoy UAVs.
The drones were launched from the Russian cities of Oryol and Kursk as well as temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
Quote: "As of 08:00, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 195 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones in the country's north, south and east.
Hits by 22 UAVs have been recorded at 14 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at four locations.
The attack is ongoing, as several enemy drones are still in Ukrainian airspace. Please observe safety measures."
