Explosions at training ground in Khmelnytskyi Oblast damage residential and municipal buildings, no deaths reported

Khmelnytskyi Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn has reported that explosions at a training ground damaged residential and municipal buildings. There is no information on any deaths as of 15:00.

Quote from Symchyshyn: "An emergency incident occurred on the territory of one of the military units. Explosions were heard. The causes are currently being established. All the appropriate services are working at the scene, and a headquarters has been set up. There is currently no information on any deaths.

Police have carried out notifications in the zone of possible debris scatter. The zone of possible debris scatter has been cordoned off. A number of residential and municipal buildings have been damaged. For safety reasons, we have altered public transport routes. We will begin clearing the aftermath as soon as the military allows."

Details: Tiurin noted that a headquarters to deal with the aftermath was set up at the scene immediately, and that priority response measures are already underway.

Background: On 31 July, an emergency incident occurred at a training ground belonging to one of the military units in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, resulting in an explosion followed by further detonation. This was reported by the Special Operations Forces.
