Russia attacks Ukraine with 147 drones, air defences down 114

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 147 drones of various types on the night of 6-7 August, with Ukrainian air defences destroying or jamming 114 UAVs.

Details: Russia deployed Shahed (some jet-powered), Gerbera and Italmas attack drones and Parodiya decoy UAVs.
The drones were launched from the Russian cities of Oryol, Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as from temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
Quote: "As of 08:30, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 114 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones in the country's north, south and east.
Hits by 29 UAVs have been recorded at 15 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at four locations.
The attack is ongoing, as several enemy drones are still in Ukrainian airspace. Please observe safety measures."
