Russians strike Izium in Kharkiv Oblast: two killed – photos

Two people were killed and four others injured in a Russian strike on the city of Izium in Kharkiv Oblast on the afternoon of 7 August.

Quote from Syniehubov: "The occupiers have struck Izium. Two people are currently known to have been killed. At least four people have been injured, and our medical teams are treating all of them."

Details: The Russians struck the city at 12:18, hitting Volodymyr Vakulenko Street.
Early reports indicate that the attackers fired rockets equipped with cluster warheads from multiple-launch rocket systems.
A fire covering an area of around 400 sq m broke out at the site of the strike. Ukrainian State Emergency Service units are dealing with the aftermath of the attack.

Background:
- On the morning of 7 August, Russian forces attacked a civilian vehicle on a road in Kherson Oblast, killing a woman.
- Russian troops also attacked people at a market in Sumy Oblast with a drone, leaving 10 injured.
