Russians hit logistics company warehouses in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Russian forces attacked Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, causing warehouses belonging to a logistics company in the Dnipro district to catch fire.

Details: Local media outlets reported that an explosion was heard in a suburb of the city of Dnipro on 7 August. An air-raid warning in the Dnipro district was in effect from 13:57 to 14:11.

Ukraine's Air Force reported a jet-powered drone heading towards the regional centre. An explosion was heard, after which a column of black smoke appeared, as a fire broke out in the Dnipro district following a strike.

Early reports indicate that no one was injured.

The day before, a warehouse belonging to the Alkomag chain, a large retail chain and online shop, in Dnipro was damaged in a Russian attack.

Background:

On the night of 4-5 August, Russian forces attacked logistics and production facilities belonging to Epicentr, a chain of home improvement superstores, in Kyiv and Kalynivka, killing one company employee and injuring three others.
On the night of 4-5 August, the Russian attack also damaged a NOVUS logistics centre and two Silpo distribution centres. Both NOVUS and Silpo are Ukraine's major supermarket and retail chains. Six employees were killed.
The Russians also completely destroyed an Intertop Ukraine logistics warehouse, a warehouse storing Puma goods and warehouse premises belonging to Bosch Ukraine's logistics partner. Early reports indicate that all Bosch products stored at the warehouse were destroyed.
Forbes Ukraine has estimated that Russian forces have destroyed over 400,000 sq m of warehouse space belonging to Ukrainian businesses, the equivalent of 56 football pitches.
