Serbian president does not believe in swift end to war in Ukraine
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has stated that he does not believe Russia's war against Ukraine can end in the near future.

Details: Vučić noted that the entire international community, including Serbia, would like to see the end of this war as soon as possible.
"But if you ask me as a political veteran, I will tell you that I am not certain about this. I am very afraid that we will have a very difficult winter. Above all for Ukrainians," the Serbian president stated.
He nonetheless expressed hope that the war would end as soon as possible.
"But I do not see a way in which this could happen," Vučić added.
Background:
- German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that Ukraine is now in a new position of strength on the battlefield and that Russia should therefore begin negotiations to freeze the front line.
- Czech President Petr Pavel, for his part, believes that Ukraine and its partners have only two months to revive peace negotiations, otherwise there is a risk of escalation of the war by Russia.
