Russian strikes damage high-rise buildings in Kharkiv, leaving people dead and injured

Russian forces struck Kharkiv's Saltivskyi district on the morning of 9 August, hitting high-rise buildings and leaving people dead and injured.

Quote from Terekhov: "An enemy strike has been recorded in the Saltivskyi district. Early reports, which are still being confirmed, indicate that the enemy hit a high-rise residential building."

Details: Terekhov later confirmed that a residential building had been hit, with the sixth to ninth floors destroyed. People were injured in the strike.

According to Terekhov, Russian forces also hit a neighbouring apartment block, where people are trapped. Emergency workers are working at the scene.

Another strike was also recorded in the Saltivskyi district.

Meanwhile, Syniehubov reported that two people had been killed in the Russian strikes.

At 07:44, Terekhov said that 12 people were known to have been injured.

Background: Russian forces launched a missile attack on Odesa on the night of 8-9 August, injuring eight people.
