Mission possible: Russian petrochemical plant burns over 2,000 km away from Ukraine – video

Deep strike (long-range) units from Ukraine's Special Operations Forces, in cooperation with the Chornaya Iskra (Black Spark) resistance movement in Russia, have struck the ZapSibNeftekhim petrochemical complex in the town of Tobolsk, Tyumen Oblast, Russia.

Details: Drones operated by Ukraine's special forces covered over 2,000 km to reach the target. Fires and destruction were recorded on the grounds of the complex.

The facility is described as Russia's largest petrochemical plant and a strategic company for the chemical industry.

The petrochemical complex in Tobolsk produces basic raw materials for a wide range of industrial products used in Russia's military-industrial complex.

Background:

• On the afternoon of 10 August, drones attacked ZapSibNeftekhim.
• According to an OSINT analysis by the Telegram channel ASTRA, the drones struck the central gas fractionation unit at ZapSibNeftekhim, an asset belonging to the SIBUR holding company.
