Operation Bambi: Ukrainian forces rescue baby deer and take three Russians prisoner – video

Operators from the 6th Rangers Regiment of Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SOF) have taken three Russian service members prisoner and rescued a baby deer they spotted in the bushes during a raid on the Russian positions.

Details: The animal was so frightened that it did not run away from the soldiers. It was evacuated from the danger zone.

"SOF operators infiltrated the mission area and carried out a raid on enemy positions. Having found enemy hideouts, the operators offered them a chance to surrender without a fight, but the enemy did not take this opportunity," the SOF said, describing the details of the operation.

In the ensuing clash, Ukrainian troops killed one Russian service member and captured three others. They also seized weapons, communications equipment and documents.

The Special Operations Forces did not disclose the sector in which the operation took place.
