Russians strike distribution centre serving Avrora retail chain

Russian forces struck a distribution warehouse belonging to Avrora, a multi-market retail chain, on 22 August.

Details: All staff were in a shelter at the time of the strike, and no casualties from the attack have been reported.

The company is currently assessing the extent of the losses, while the chain continues to operate as normal.

Background:

• The Russians significantly damaged several energy facilities belonging to DTEK Odesa Electric Networks, a local branch of Ukraine's largest private energy company, during the large-scale attack on the night of 21-22 August.
• On the night of 21-22 August, Russia attacked Ukraine with various types of missiles, Banderol loitering munitions and drones, with Kyiv and Odesa oblasts being the main targets.
