Zelenskyy speaks with Macron for two hours: faster aid deliveries and diplomacy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held an almost two-hour conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron on 22 August, covering the acceleration of deliveries of the latest French equipment and missiles.

Details: Zelenskyy said the conversation was "very good", lasted almost two hours and touched on all the most important topics, above all the need for air defence.
Quote: "We highly appreciate that the president of France is ready to help communicate with our other partners who have the necessary missiles for Patriots. We also discussed French air defence capabilities. I briefed Emmanuel on the situation with the strikes. I'm grateful for the condolences over the lives lost."
More details: Zelenskyy also thanked Macron for confirming his readiness to grant licences for missile production.
In addition, the presidents discussed the state of diplomatic work with partners and communication with the US president's team. They agreed on steps that could "open up additional diplomatic opportunities".
