Russia attacks Chernihiv with over 10 drones: critical infrastructure damaged, three injured

Russian forces attacked Chernihiv with more than 10 drones on 25 August, damaging critical infrastructure and warehouse facilities. Three people have sustained minor injuries.

Update: Bryzhynskyi said that the Russians had attacked Chernihiv with more than 10 drones throughout the day.

The Chernihiv City Council said the number of people injured in the large-scale Russian attack has risen to three.

Early reports indicate that a critical infrastructure facility was hit again. Warehouse facilities belonging to two businesses and one shop were also damaged, reportedly by the blast wave.

Details: Earlier, Bryzhynskyi said two Russian drones crashed in Chernihiv. Air defence was operating in the city.

Initially, two people were reported injured.

Chernihivoblenergo said that an energy facility has been damaged in the attack. More than 30,000 customers in the Chernihiv district and the town of Slavutych have been left without electricity.

Background: Over the course of 24 August, Russian forces carried out 45 attacks on Chernihiv Oblast, injuring 38 people, including several children and teenagers.
