Battlefield sees 229 clashes over past day, 31 of them on Pokrovsk front – Ukraine's General Staff
A total of 229 combat clashes have occurred on the battlefield over the past day, with the highest number of Russian attacks recorded on the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka fronts, where Ukrainian defenders stopped 31 and 28 attacks respectively.

Details: In total, 229 combat engagements were recorded on the front line on 26 August.
On the North Slobozhanshchyna front and in the operational zone in Russia's Kursk Oblast, Ukrainian defenders stopped 10 Russian assaults over the past day. Meanwhile, the Russians launched three airstrikes, using six guided bombs, and conducted 52 strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements.
On the South Slobozhanshchyna front, Ukrainian units repelled 10 Russian attacks. The Russians attempted to advance near the settlements of Prylipka, Starytsia, Synelnykove, Vilcha, Lyman and Vovchanski Khutory.
On the Kupiansk front, the Russians launched one attack towards the village of Radkivka.
On the Lyman front, Russian forces carried out seven attacks near the city of Lyman and towards Hrekivka and Novoselivka.
On the Sloviansk front, Russian troops conducted six assaults near the settlements of Ozerne, Zakitne and Kryva Luka and towards Mykolaivka.
On the Kramatorsk front, the Russians launched three attacks near the settlements of Fedorivka Druha and Nykyforivka.
On the Kostiantynivka front, 28 Russian attacks were recorded. The Russians conducted assaults near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Novoselivka, Rusyn Yar and Nove Shakhove and towards Mykolaipillia.
A total of 31 attacks were recorded on the Pokrovsk front. The Russians tried to advance towards the settlements of Bilytske, Vasylivka, Serhiivka, Svitle, Novyi Donbas, Myrne, Filiia and Novopavlivka and near Udachne, Novooleksandrivka and Molodetske.
On the Oleksandrivka front, the Russians conducted five attacks towards the village of Piddubne and near Rybne.
On the Huliaipole front, the Russians carried out nine attacks, attempting to advance towards the settlements of Vozdvyzhivka, Dobropillia, Charivne and Novoselivka and near Bilohiria and Luhivske.
On the Orikhiv front, Ukrainian defenders stopped four Russian attempts to advance towards the settlements of Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka and Lukianivske.
On the Prydniprovske front, the Russians did not conduct any assaults over the past day.
On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, there is no evidence of any offensive Russian groups being formed in the area.
