Finland on Russian strike on Bucha district: "terrible flashback" to March 2022
Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen has commented on a Russian attack on Bucha district, Kyiv Oblast, which killed at least 37 people.

Details: Valtonen said the strike is a "terrible flashback to March 2022 and the Bucha massacre Valtonen refers to the killings of civilians by Russian forces in Bucha, Kyiv Oblast, during the early months of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Hundreds of civilians were killed in Bucha and the surrounding areas. Evidence of executions, torture and other abuses was documented after Russian forces withdrew from the town in late March 2022. ".

Background:
- Powerful explosions were heard in the Bucha district in Kyiv Oblast on the evening of 28 August. A warehouse facility caught fire, and all traffic was blocked in both directions on the M-06 Kyiv-Chop road between kilometres 15 and 32.
- Local authorities reported that the death toll from the Russian attack and subsequent detonation in Kyiv Oblast's Bucha district has risen to 37, while another 42 people were injured.
