Fire breaks out in Kyiv due to morning Russian attack

A fire has broken out in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district as a result of Russian attacks on the morning of 30 August.

Details: Klitschko said a two-storey non-residential building had been hit in the Holosiivskyi district.

In the morning, debris from downed aerial assets caused the roof of another non-residential building in the same district to catch fire.

The State Emergency Service said rescue workers have been dealing with the aftermath of the attacks in several districts of the capital since last night.

As of this morning, firefighters are putting out fires at several locations.

Background:

• On the afternoon of 29 August, a Russian drone hit a non-residential area in Kyiv's Podilskyi district, while a drone landed in the Obolonskyi district, damaging a café and killing a two-year-old girl. Several people were injured.
• The number of people injured in Kyiv as a result of Russian drone attacks on 29 August later rose to eight. A non-residential building in the capital was hit again.
• On the evening of 29 August, fallen debris from a drone caused a fire at a house in Kyiv's Dniprovskyi district.
