Russia attacks Ukraine with different missiles and 218 drones: 199 aerial assets destroyed
Russia attacked Ukraine with Iskander-M/KN-23/S-400 ballistic missiles, Zircon anti-ship missiles, Kalibr cruise missiles, Kh-31P anti-radiation missiles, S8000 Banderol loitering munitions and 218 drones of various types on the night of 31 August-1 September. Strikes have been recorded at 28 locations.

Details: Hits by missiles and attack drones have been recorded at 28 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at 10 locations.
Some Russian missiles also failed to reach their targets, and information about them is being confirmed.
Ukraine's defence forces have managed to destroy or jam 199 Russian aerial assets, but the attack is still ongoing. More than 10 Russian drones remain in Ukrainian airspace.
Odesa and Kyiv oblasts have been the main targets of the attack.
The aerial attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces.
Overall, starting at 18:00 on 31 August, Russia attacked Ukraine:
- with Iskander-M/KN-23/S-400 ballistic missiles and Zircon anti-ship missiles launched from Russia's Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh and Rostov oblasts
- with sea-launched Kalibr cruise missiles from Novorossiysk
- with Kh-31P anti-radiation missiles launched from airspace over the Black Sea
- with S8000 Banderol loitering munitions launched from Bryansk Oblast and over the Sea of Azov
- with 218 Shahed attack drones (around one-third of them jet-powered) and Parodiya decoy UAVs launched from the Russian cities of Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea
