Russia attacks Ukraine with missile and 121 drones: 103 UAVs shot down or jammed

Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with a Kh-31P air-launched missile and 121 drones of various types since the evening of 3 September. Ukrainian forces have downed 103 of the drones, while strikes have been recorded at a number of locations.

Quote: "As of 09:30, air defence systems had shot down or jammed 103 Russian Shahed- and Gerbera-type drones, UAVs of other types and S8000 Banderol drones in the north, south, east and centre of the country. Strikes by Russian aerial weapons have been recorded at 15 locations, and downed debris has landed at six locations."

Details: Russian forces launched the missile from the Black Sea, while the drones were launched from the direction of the Russian cities of Millerovo, Oryol and Kursk as well as from temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiyske in occupied Crimea.

The aerial attack has been repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces.

As of the morning of 4 September, the attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
