Russians attack high-rise residential building in Boryspil: fire breaks out, two injured

A Russian attack on the city of Boryspil on the night of 4-5 September caused a fire in an apartment and on the roof of a nine-storey residential building.

Quote from Kyiv Oblast Military Administration: "The roof and top floor of a nine-storey residential building in Boryspil were damaged as a result of an enemy attack.

A fire broke out on the roof and in one of the apartments."

Details: Early reports indicate that there were no casualties.

All the appropriate services are working at the scene.

Update: Tkachenko later reported that two people had been injured in the Russian attack on Boryspil.

"Two women with acoustic trauma and closed chest injuries were taken to a local hospital," he said.

He added that emergency crews are to deal with the aftermath and document the damage caused by the Russian attack on the nine-storey residential building.

Background:

• According to Ukrainska Pravda sources, defence forces units had been ordered to observe a ceasefire along the line of contact from 00:00 on 5 September until 23:59 on 8 September.
• Meanwhile, an air-raid warning was issued in Kyiv at 00:00 on 5 September. The Air Force reported jet-powered UAVs over Kyiv and Kharkiv oblasts.
• Air defence activity could also be heard in Kyiv after midnight.
