Details: Khmara briefed Pistorius on Russia's ever-intensifying air terror, emphasising that the key threats are jet-powered drones and ballistic missiles.

Khmara said Ukraine is developing its own defence plan and taking asymmetric action that is yielding results. Meanwhile, strengthening protection against Russian strikes as quickly as possible remains a priority.

The two sides discussed funding for defence needs. Ukraine's Defence Ministry is conducting an audit of resources and human capital within Ukraine's defence forces. However, financial support from Kyiv's partners remains critically important to Ukraine's resilience.

The ministers also focused on preparations for the Ramstein-format meeting next week and discussed closer cooperation between the Ukrainian and German defence industries.

Khmara thanked Germany for its significant support and leadership in working with other partners of Ukraine.
