Soldiers from Ukraine's Defence Intelligence strike Russian aircraft in Crimea – video

Soldiers from the Active Operations Department of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) struck a Russian aircraft in temporarily occupied Crimea on the night of 6-7 September.

Quote: "Last night, operatives from DIU's Active Operations Department struck an enemy aircraft on the temporarily occupied peninsula. The extent of the damage is being assessed."

Details: DIU's press service later said in an update that the aircraft was a Su-24 bomber.

Ukraine marks Military Intelligence Day on 7 September. This special day was established by a presidential decree in 2022.
