Romania finds wreckage of several drones on land and in Black Sea

The Romanian authorities found the wreckage of multiple UAVs at several locations on 11 September, including some containing warheads.

Details: Drone wreckage was found at several locations in Romania, including around Constanța, in Tulcea County on the border with Ukraine, and in the Black Sea.

Two drone pieces were found on a beach in Tulcea County, while another two were recovered from the Black Sea.

In one case, experts found a warhead and safely neutralised it.

Debris suspected to be from drones found in coastal waters was reported by a commercial vessel, after which border guards located and recovered it. There were no explosives inside.

The latest incident occurred at around 18:00 in a coastal area north of Constanța. Experts from Romania's Ministry of Defence believe the debris came from four UAVs, including an interceptor drone that still contained an unexploded charge. All the wreckage was safely neutralised.

No assumptions have been made about the specific type or origin of the drones.
