Winter could be turning point in war in Ukraine – Polish Defence Ministry
Polish Deputy Defence Minister Cezary Tomczyk has said that Russian strikes near the Polish border are an attempt to cut Ukraine off from military supplies. He warned that the coming months, particularly the winter, could prove to be a turning point in the war, potentially in Russia's favour.

Details: Tomczyk said that Russia believes the coming period could become a turning point in the war and that Ukraine currently needs the maximum possible support from the Western world to withstand Russia's war and effectively defend itself against aerial attacks.
According to Tomczyk, the recent attacks on Ukraine's west are also a test for NATO. He said that, according to CIA intelligence, Russia's plans for the near future include scenarios involving European countries.
Tomczyk said he did not want to disclose any sensational details but warned that the scenarios included possible acts of sabotage similar to those seen in Germany, a potential escalation of hybrid warfare on a scale not witnessed before, and various types of operations in border areas, including in the Baltic states along NATO's frontier. He said these were very realistic scenarios that could escalate into something far more serious.
