Russian forces attack Kyiv-Mykolaiv train: passengers evacuated – video

Russian forces have struck the Kyiv-Mykolaiv passenger train, with no casualties reported.

Quote: "Train No. 122 Kyiv-Mykolaiv has come under attack today. Thanks to an early warning from Ukrzaliznytsia's monitoring team, the locomotive and train crews and the passengers have been evacuated."

Details: Bus transfers are being arranged to evacuate the passengers in cooperation with Mykolaiv Oblast Military Administration.

Background:

• On 13 September, the Russians struck the locomotive of a passenger train in Volyn, two kilometres from the border with Poland.
• On 12 September, Russian drones attacked railway facilities in the cities of Lutsk, Volyn Oblast, and Fastiv, Kyiv Oblast.
• On 9 September, Russian forces struck a railway station in Kharkiv Oblast and the Kharkiv-Izium train with a Shahed drone, injuring six people.

• Meanwhile, a train attendant was killed when a train travelling on the Dnipro-Zaporizhzhia route came under Russian fire.
• On the morning of 9 September, Russian forces attacked a train travelling on the Kyiv-Sumy route in Sumy Oblast, prompting the evacuation of 90 people.
