Russians attack passenger train in Sumy Oblast: 90 people evacuated – photos, video
On the morning of 8 September, Russian forces attacked a Kyiv-Sumy passenger train in Sumy Oblast, causing a fire and prompting the evacuation of 90 people. No casualties were reported.

Quote from the State Emergency Service: "This morning, the enemy attacked a Kyiv-Sumy passenger train with drones in the Sumy district. Even before the attack, the passengers had left the train in advance, accompanied by Ukrzaliznytsia employees."
Details: The train had been stopped in advance following a warning from Ukrzaliznytsia's monitoring team. The passengers, train crew and locomotive crew were evacuated before the strikes.
Firefighters extinguished the fire and evacuated 90 people. Two buses from the State Emergency Service and another two provided by the local authorities were then deployed to transport them.
Background: At the end of August, a Russian jet-powered UAV struck the locomotive of passenger train No. 147 Zhytomyr-Odesa in Odesa Oblast. Passengers and railway staff were evacuated in time.
