Ukrainian forces strike Russian bomber in Crimea and drone ground control stations in Donetsk Oblast

Ukraine's defence forces struck a Russian Su-24 tactical bomber in Saky in temporarily occupied Crimea and a number of other important Russian military assets on 15 September and on the night of 15-16 September.

Details: The Ukrainian military reported that a Su-24 aircraft had been hit at the Saky airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea. The extent of the damage is still being assessed.

A site used by Russian forces to store, prepare and launch attack UAVs was also struck near the city of Donetsk.

Russian UAV ground control stations were hit in Staromlynivka and Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast and Pokrovske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In addition, a Russian ammunition depot was struck in Dovzhansk, Luhansk Oblast. Fuel and lubricant storage facilities used by Russian forces were hit in Rovenky, Luhansk Oblast, and Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Ukrainian forces struck sites in Suvorove and Rysove in temporarily occupied Crimea equipped with Russian automated surveillance systems known as Grenader, used to monitor and detect movement.
