Slovenia's defence minister and foreign minister arrive in Kyiv
Slovenia's Foreign Minister Tone Kajzer and Defence Minister Valentin Hajdinjak arrived in Kyiv on 17 September.

Details: Sybiha reported the arrival of his Slovenian counterpart and posted a photo from the railway station.
Quote from Sybiha: "Grateful for [Tone Kajzer's] brave visit amid Russia's ongoing terror against our country. We have a lot to discuss today. Ukraine and Slovenia share an interest in a strong and secure Europe, and there is much more we can do together to advance it."
More details: Zelenskyy later reported a meeting with the Slovenian delegation and revealed that it also includes Defence Minister Valentin Hajdinjak and representatives of Slovenian companies.
Quote from Zelenskyy: "Our countries are working on the Drone Deal, and we discussed the first results and joint defence projects that we can implement. We talked at length about Ukraine's future as part of a united Europe, security in our region, and Russia's constant attacks. I thanked Slovenia for its US$50 million contribution to PURL [Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List programme] and for all its support."
Background:
- Over the past weekend, a train carrying Western politicians returning from Kyiv narrowly avoided coming under fire near the Yahodyn-Dorohusk border crossing, as a Russian drone hit the locomotive of a scheduled passenger train on this stretch near the border shortly afterwards.
- The state-run railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) has not ruled out that the diplomatic train was the initial target.
