Satellite images show damage to Shahed storage bunkers at Russian drone base

Damage to bunkers, warehouses and a drone launch area has been recorded at the Russian Tsymbulovo drone base in Oryol Oblast.

Details: Absolutely Reliable Source posted satellite images showing the consequences of a 21 September strike.

According to the analysts, two hits struck the bunkers. In one case, a munition penetrated inside the structure, while in the other, an explosion occurred on the surface.

Several other strikes followed, causing detonations and damage to warehouses at the drone base. The analysts also identified the wreckage of burnt-out drones at the site, where Russian forces prepare UAVs for launch.

The satellite images separately mark areas affected by the strikes and fires and locations where UAV debris remained after the attack. One of the images also marks the location of Geran-5 drones.

Tsymbulovo is located in Oryol Oblast and is used by Russian forces to store, prepare and launch strike drones. Geran-family UAVs are deployed there, including drones based on Iranian Shaheds and new Russian jet-powered variants.

The facility has been targeted before. On 30 August, Ukrainian forces struck several launchers at the drone base. The facility retained its ability to launch drones after that attack.

Background: Sixteen launchers for Geran-4 and Geran-5 jet-powered UAVs were deployed at the drone base. In spring, concrete underground shelters for strike drones and new launch positions were being built at the facility.
