Macron discusses energy truce between Ukraine and Russia with Trump
French President Emmanuel Macron has said that he has discussed with US President Donald Trump initiatives for a mutual moratorium between Ukraine and Russia on strikes against energy infrastructure.

Details: Speaking to journalists after his meeting with Trump, Macron said the talks with the US president had been "very good" and "very constructive".
"We had a lengthy discussion on Ukraine and Russia, the need to help our Ukrainian friends more quickly and more strongly in terms of interceptors, because that is the key issue from a defensive point of view," Macron said.
Without going into details, Macron said they had also discussed ideas for halting strikes on the energy sector. The French leader added that he planned to raise the issue during his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Macron stressed that supporting and protecting Ukraine's energy system remains a key priority, as the war continues to undermine stability and security across Europe.
Macron expressed hope of making tangible progress in protecting civilians and infrastructure during the annual gathering of world leaders on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
