Russians attack Kyiv with ballistic missiles while Zelenskyy discusses Graham Act with congressmen

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Russian forces launched a ballistic strike on the city of Kyiv while he was discussing the Graham Act and the need to strengthen sanctions against Russia with US lawmakers.

Quote: "Today, the Russians launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv just as we were meeting with members of Congress and discussing the Lindsey Graham law and the need to strengthen sanctions. Russia will not end this war without pressure."

Details: Zelenskyy said he had discussed the Graham Act with Brian Fitzpatrick, Mike Quigley, Marcy Kaptur, Jared Golden, Joe Wilson and Gregory Meeks.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "Every such attack happens because the pressure on the aggressor has never become total, and Russia believes it can continue to bet on ballistic terror.

Right now, the United States has an opportunity to respond strongly. We need ballistic missile interceptors to protect lives. Sanctions against Russia and those helping it make money must be implemented. I thank both parties for their readiness to help protect lives."
