Ukrainian air defence downs 112 out of 165 Russian drones, including jet-powered ones: hits recorded at 14 locations

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 165 Shahed (79 of them jet-powered) and Gerbera attack drones and Parodiya decoy UAVs on the night of 27-28 September.

Details: As of 07:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 112 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones.

Hits by aerial assets have been recorded at 14 locations and downed aerial assets (debris) landed at seven locations.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

The attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
