Unexploded Russian ballistic missile being made safe in Kyiv residential area – photos

The National Police and the State Emergency Service are carrying out a complex operation to defuse an unexploded Russian ballistic missile found among residential buildings in Kyiv's Darnytskyi district. The missile was launched towards Kyiv by Russian forces overnight.

Details: Access to the area in question has been restricted.

Residents are urged not to approach the site and, if they find any other suspicious objects, to immediately call the emergency numbers 101 or 102.
Background:
- Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine on the night of 6-7 October. Ukraine's Air Force reported that air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 161 aerial assets.
- Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts were the main targets of the attack.
