Gazprom oil refinery catches fire in Russia's Bashkortostan after attack – photo, videos
A fire has reportedly broken out near the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat oil refinery in Russia's Bashkortostan following an attack.

Details: The fire is said to be raging several kilometres from the city, possibly near the refinery, as indicated by an analysis of the images.
It is one of Russia's largest oil refining and petrochemical complexes, located in the city of Salavat. The city is 1,400 km from the border with Ukraine.
Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat processes up to 10 million tonnes of hydrocarbon feedstock a year. The facility, which is part of the Gazprom group, produces more than 150 types of products, including petrol, diesel fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, polyethylene, styrene and ammonia.
Background:
- The facility has previously been targeted by drone attacks.
- On 24 September 2025, an attack damaged the ELOU-AVT-6 primary oil refining unit.
- Following an attack on the refinery on 14 July 2026, a fire broke out, bringing oil refining to a complete halt. A fire also broke out following an attack on 13 August 2026.
