Air defence forces have shot down a Russian jet-powered drone near the city of Lviv after it flew into the city on the morning of 10 October.
Source: Ukraine's Air Force; Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi; Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of Lviv Oblast Military Administration
Details: At 07:19, the Air Force reported a jet-powered UAV heading towards Vynnyky and Lviv. The military later added that the drone was flying towards Lviv airport.
At almost the same time, Sadovyi reported a Russian drone heading towards the city. At 07:23, he said it had entered the airspace over Lviv.
Kozytskyi reported that air defence forces were responding and later wrote that the drone had been destroyed near Lviv. Early reports indicate that there are no casualties or damage.
Thus, the Air Force and local authorities were reporting on the same drone, with the military explicitly describing it as jet-powered.
This is the first known instance of a Russian jet-powered UAV entering directly into Lviv's airspace.
