Details: Støre said that Witkoff, who met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Norway earlier today, will travel to St Petersburg on 21 October.
"He will meet with the Russian leadership and exchange views on this meeting and the proposals that European and American colleagues have been working on, and perhaps lay the groundwork for a meeting at leaders' level," the Norwegian prime minister said.
According to Støre, the discussions in Norway covered "issues related to Ukraine's security, the post-war prosperity plan, territorial issues, sanctions, and the European security order after this war is over".
Zelenskyy arrived in Oslo on Tuesday for talks with Norwegian officials and negotiations aimed at ending the war with the US presidential envoys and European representatives.
