Quote from Romaniukov: "The list of supplies purchased by the agency is formed in accordance with the needs determined by the General Staff and the Ministry of Defence. Our task is to fulfill these needs as efficiently as possible, foster competition and reduce delivery times of necessary products to the military."

Details: In 2026, the agency's procurement list also expanded to include quad bikes, motorcycles and buggies. Women's body armor and anti-fragmentation suits were added to the personal equipment category.

Overall, the DPA covers a broad range of the defence forces' needs, including weaponry, ammunition, military equipment, unmanned systems, vehicles, personal gear, rations and fuel.

Background:

  • The Ukrainian Ministry of Defence previously reported the signing of an agreement to procure 16 Swedish JAS 39 Gripen E fighter jets. Former director of the DPA Arsen Zhumadilov participated in the signing.
  • It was also reported that since the beginning of 2026, the DPA has contracted 300% more drones than in the entire previous year. Meanwhile, supply volumes of FPV drones have increased almost 3.7 times.
