Quote from the source: "As of this morning, cases of signal loss at a speed of 161 km/h are still being observed. There is currently no confirmation that the restrictions have been lifted."

Details: This information is confirmed by freelance presidential adviser Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov.

He wrote on Facebook on Friday: "At the moment, we are not observing any lifting of restrictions on Starlink. There are isolated instances where a Starlink terminal can operate slightly faster than the limit, but this is likely due to how SpaceX's algorithm works or specific operating conditions, rather than the lifting of the restriction."

Background:

  • The Wall Street Journal, citing US and Ukrainian officials familiar with the matter, reported that Donald Trump had allegedly called Elon Musk and asked him to lift the restrictions on the military version of Starlink in Ukraine.
  • US President Donald Trump stated on the evening of 22 October that Elon Musk had already lifted the speed limits for the military version of Starlink in Ukraine, but he refused to say whether he had personally called Musk about this.
