Russia prepares new offensive in several directions - Ministry of Defence of Ukraine

Russian troops will try to continue to surround Kyiv, they are preparing to attack Sumy, Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia, and want to establish control over Chernihiv city and Kaniv Hydroelectric Power Plant.

Details: The aggressor is continuing the offensive operation against Ukraine, concentrating its main efforts on the encirclement of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Mariupol, and Mykolaiv. It has not abandoned its attempts to reach the administrative borders of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

Towards Polissia, the Russian aggressor is concentrating its main efforts on the encirclement of Kyiv. Up to 2 armoured groups are concentrated in the Hostomel area; in the Bucha area – up to 3 armoured groups reinforced by tank units; in the area of Borodianka – up to 2 armoured groups; in the area of Sytniaky – up to 2 armoured groups.

In the occupied territories, the aggressor immediately tries to establish an administrative-police regime by means of undisguised terror directed at the local population.

The aggressors are continuing to prepare to attack Vyshhorod.

The aggressor is also preparing to resume the offensive towards the settlements of Hostomel, Irpin and Stoianka.

In the Siverskyy area, the aggressor, with the help of units from two general armies and a tank division of the Central Military District, has focused its main efforts on the following areas: Brovary – up to 2 armoured groups; in the areas of the Semenivka, Mena and Bobrovytsia settlements – up to 3 armoured groups; Boryspil – up to 4 armoured groups.

The Russian invader is attempting to ensure tactical superiority in the Brovary and Boryspil districts. 

The aggressors are trying to gain control over Chernihiv and are concentrating units of the 41st General Army of the Central Military District near its southern outskirts.

The aggressor is attempting to prepare for an attack on Sumy.

Towards Slobozhanskyy, the aggressor is trying to continue the offensive towards the Dnipro with the help of units from the tank army, two units from the general army and the army corps.

The main efforts are focused towards Kaniv, Dnipro and Sievierodonetsk. The aggressor is regrouping to continue the offensive in certain areas in order to take control of the Kaniv Hydroelectric power plant.

Around Donetsk, the aggressor, with the forces of up to seven armoured groups, continues offensive operations towards the cities of Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia, in order to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk region. Despite heavy losses, it is advancing towards Volnovakha.

The aggressors have made repeated attempts to break through the defence in the area of Staromlynivka, as well as to capture Zachativka, but suffered significant losses and retreated to the area of the village of Liubymivka.

At the same time, the aggressor is trying to break through the city's defence in the areas of the western outskirts of Mariupol, Staryi Krym. It has not been successful.

In the Tavriia area, the invader is holding the frontiers in the Kherson region with forces of up to 17 armoured groups.

The main efforts are focused on the following areas: Mykolaiv – up to 2 armoured groups, Voznesensk – up to 2 armoured groups, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyy – up to 4 armoured groups, Zaporizhia – up to 4 armoured groups; Mariupol – up to 3 armoured groups.

The aggressor is regrouping troops for further attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia. The aggressor is urgently restoring the runway at the captured Melitopol airfield.

In the Bessarabian area, the aggressor is not active, but the servicemen of the operational group of Russian troops in the security zone of the self-proclaimed Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic are on a high degree of combat readiness.
