Russian troops continue shelling residential areas near Kyiv

As of the morning of March 8, Russian troops have inhibited the evacuation of civilians in the Kyiv Region.

Details: By continuous shelling of residential areas and civilian population, the invaders inhibit the evacuation of the civilians. During the day, those who were able to get to the gathering place on their own were evacuated from Irpin. The district is currently preparing for a large-scale evacuation of people and delivery of humanitarian aid. This requires a ceasefire.

It is also reported that fighting took place at night in Irpin’, Makariv, and Hostomel. The Russians stationed military equipment along Bucha and Mykhailivska Rubezhivka.

Details: In Boryspil district, utilities and infrastructure facilities are operating normally. The district boundaries and roadblocks are being strengthened. The defense forces have been put on high alert. No shelling was recorded yet.

In the Fastiv district, all critical infrastructure facilities are operating normally. The situation is stable and under control.

In Bila Tserkva district, public utilities are working in an intensified mode. Settlements are supplied with electricity, gas, and water. The volunteer movement to help the armed forces and the population is intensified in the district. The organization of humanitarian aid to the population is carried out.

In Obukhiv district, the work is performed to restore infrastructure and provide the necessary assistance to the population. No air strikes were recorded. Checkpoints are being strengthened.

The head of the Kyiv Regional Administration also informs that communications have been disrupted in the villages of Mokrets and Zavorychi of the Kalityan community. Power supply was partially restored. In these settlements, the Russian occupying forces are actively regrouping.

In the village of Rusaniv of the Velykodymersky community, private cottages were destroyed. So far, gas supply has been restored; however, there are no electricity, water, heating, or communication services.

In the village of Zavorychi, artillery shelling burned down a local church and several private cottages.

In the village of Peremoha, a local church, a priest's house, and a shelter for people living alone were partially destroyed. Russian military equipment is present in the village.

There is no water supply in the village of Lukashi.
