Verbatim: "Together with builders and urban planners who arrived from Kyiv, we will soon be able to present the plan for the restoration of the city of Trostyanets, and we will extend our work throughout the region."

Details: Dmytro Zhyvytskyy said that a group of architects and urban planners arrived in the Sumy region on Friday.

He said that the electricity supply has already been partially restored in Trostyanets. The authorities are also starting the process of restoring the Trostyanets hospital.

Dmytro Zhyvytskyy also said that the authorities had talked to a resident of the completely burned-out 5-storey two-door building near the Trostyanets railway station.

"The things he shared just shocked us. They [Russian troops -ed.] targeted the apartment building, they fired incendiary machine guns. Their aim was to simply burn down the building," said the Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

He added that the central and eastern parts of the oblast remain the hot spot today.

"A large amount of military equipment has arrived [in the region - ed.] recently. Russian military personnel formed columns, and their military vehicles have been leaving Kyiv and Chernihiv oblasts along these columns. They are dragging broken, bombed out and non-functioning Russian armored vehicles. They are afraid that our military will finish them off along the way. That's why they are covering up with new units that have recently entered the Oblast," Dmytro Zhyvytskyy said.

He added that the Russian military is abducting people and chaotically shelling "everything around - residential buildings, streets, shops."

Background: On 26 March, Ukrainian defenders liberated Trostyanets town in the Sumy region. The Armed Forces also succeeded in expelling the "elite" Russian ground force troops, the Kantemyr tank division.
