Putin and FSB claim to have uncovered a “neo-Nazi plot” to assassinate Russian propaganda monger Solovyov

The Russian President Vladimir Putin, and later the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, claimed to have apprehended "neo-Nazis who were plotting the assassination" of the infamous Russian propaganda monger Vladimir Solovyov.

Details: According to the Russian law enforcement agencies, the suspects had "improvised explosives, eight ‘Molotov cocktails’, six Makarov handguns, a hunting rifle, an RGD-5 grenade, over a thousand bullets of different calibers, drugs, and nationalistic literature and insignia."

"Members of the criminal group are testifying about the assassination plot against Solovyov, after which they were planning to escape overseas," – says the FSB.

The Main Investigation Department of Russia’s SK has reportedly filed a criminal case against the suspects.

President Putin also spoke of  the "prevented attempt to assassinate the famous Russian journalist" at the meeting with the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation. He likewise alleged that "the attack was being prepared upon orders from Kiev."
