Quote: "In Slobozhanshchyna, the enemy carried out systematic shelling from artillery, including multiple launch rocket systems, at the cities of Kharkiv and Derhachi and the settlement of Prudianka.

In the Izium-Barvinkove area, the invaders attempted an offensive in the Nova Dmytrivka district. They had no luck: they suffered losses and retreated.

In the Donetsk and Tauriia areas, the enemy continues to fire with mortars and cannon artillery at our troops’ positions along the line of contact.

The enemy made an unsuccessful attempt to break through our troops’ defences in the Kurakhove area."

Details: In the South Buh area, the occupying forces’ units, under cover of artillery fire, continue to fit out their positions, replenish their stocks of materiel, ammunition and fuel, and conduct aerial reconnaissance.

The Russian invaders tried to improve the tactical position of their troops in the area of Zaporizhzhia. They did not have any success, and retreated with losses.

In the Volyn, Polissia and Siverskyi areas, there were no significant changes in the situation, and no signs of the formation of offensive groupings by the enemy were found.

In the temporarily occupied territory of Kharkiv Region, near the village of Levkivka, Izium district, the occupier has been organising a collection point for damaged equipment, where military equipment is being repaired and restored. The Russian invaders continue to carry out so-called "filtration measures" in certain settlements that are temporarily not under the control of the Ukrainian authorities.

In the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Region, the invaders are searching local people’s houses in order to identify where representatives of Ukraine’s security forces live. A census of the local population is being carried out. Any travel in the temporarily occupied territory without identity documents is prohibited.

In the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Region, the invaders are preparing for the so-called referendum: ballots are being printed and the personal data of local Ukrainian citizens is being clarified. At the same time, the Russian invaders continue to prevent civilians from leaving the occupied territory.

In the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova, a "red" level of terrorist threat has been introduced due to numerous provocations from Russia. Personnel from the security agencies have been placed on stand-by, control at checkpoints has been strengthened, and preparations for the 9 May (Victory Day) parade have been cancelled.

The General Staff also reported that the Russian military is demoralised. Personal documents are confiscated from personnel brought in to replenish losses from the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, meaning it will not be possible to identify these people in the event of their death. There have been more and more cases of enemy servicemen looking for new ways to avoid taking part in hostilities. Soldiers resort to desertion, surrender and self-mutilation.
