Bakhmut in Donetsk region hit by rocket: homes destroyed, one dead, child injured

As a result of a missile strike by Russians on Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast, the structure of a residential building was destroyed from the fourth to the ground floor. At least one person was killed and a severely injured 9-year-old child was rescued from the rubble.

Details: Kyrylenko said that people may be under the rubble, rescuers are still clearing the rubble away. The SES reported that the shelling of Bakhmut took place on Tuesday at 13:30.

Quote by SES: "On 17 May at 13:30 in Bakhmut, a rocket attack hit a five-storey residential apartment building, as a result of which the structural elements of the building collapsed from the fourth to the ground floor, followed by fire.

At 15:20 the fire in the house was extinguished in an area of ​​60 square metres. The SES units rescued a child (born in 2013, with wounds of moderate severity) from the rubble and took out the body of 1 person, the work continues."
