In the summer of 2021, at a secret meeting of the National Security and Defense Council, it was instructed to provide appropriate protection for several regions of Ukraine in case of a Russian invasion. Why Russians managed to move quickly through the Kherson region in February 2022 remains to be clarified.

Details: The NSDC secretary was asked a serious question: what happened on the administrative border between Crimea and the Kherson region in the first days of the full-scale phase of the war? Is it unwillingness, betrayal, or something else?

Details: Danilov noted that in the summer of 2021, a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council was held (according to the Ukrainska Pravda, it was classified as "Secret" -ed.) directly in relation to Chonhar, Kherson region, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Mykolaiv regions.
Certain tasks were announced at the meeting, and in December 2021, all involved instances reported the implementation of their tasks.
"What happened next – I think it will be the subject of clarification. When will it happen... There is an opinion that this should happen after the war. Life will show how it will turn out," the NSDC secretary added.
